Terms of service

These terms set out the rules for using the Salono website and, when available, the Salono software and related services. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the service.

Who we are

The Salono website and services are operated by us. In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Salono. You can reach us at hello@salono.co.uk.

Using the service

Salono provides online booking and business tools aimed at hair salons, aesthetic clinics, spas, and similar businesses. Features, availability, and pricing may change as we develop the product. Some capabilities may be offered as early access, beta, or preview: they may be incomplete or change without long notice.

You must be at least 18 years old and have authority to bind your business (or yourself, if you are a sole trader) when you register or subscribe.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter (including client and staff details) and for complying with applicable law, including data protection and health and beauty sector rules that apply to you.

Accounts and access

Keep login details confidential and restrict access to people who need it. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or restrict accounts if we reasonably believe there is a security risk, abuse of the service, or breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without permission.
  • Interfere with other users' use of the service or overload our infrastructure without agreement.
  • Copy, scrape, or resell the service or our content except as allowed by law or with our written consent.
  • Misrepresent who you are or impersonate another person or organisation.

Fees and payment

Paid plans, if offered, will be described at the point you subscribe. Payments may be processed by third parties (for example Stripe). Their terms also apply where relevant. Taxes may be added where the law requires.

Unless we say otherwise in writing, fees are non-refundable except where consumer law gives you a right to cancel or a refund.

Intellectual property

The Salono name, branding, website content, and software are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the service for your internal business purposes in line with these terms. You retain rights in your own content and data that you upload.

Personal data

How we handle personal data is summarised on our Legal, security & data page. Those notices form part of how we operate the service alongside these terms.

Service availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, and events outside our control may cause downtime. The service is provided on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law.

Salono is a tool to help run your business; it is not a substitute for professional, medical, or legal advice.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data, or for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of one hundred pounds (£100) or the fees you paid us in that period for Salono (if any).

If you use free or trial access, our liability may be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, if we must do so by law, or if we wind down or replace the service with reasonable notice where practicable.

After termination, we may delete or retain data as described in our data notices and any order form or agreement with you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will try to give you reasonable notice (for example by email or an in-product notice). Continued use after the change counts as acceptance, unless the law requires a different process.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where you are a consumer in Scotland or Northern Ireland and you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
