Online card payments are processed by Stripe at 1.5% + 20p per transaction (the standard rate, paid to Stripe, Salono never takes a cut). SMS reminders include up to 80 messages per user, per month. Beyond that, additional messages are 4.1p each.

Q. How does the free month work?
A.

Start on any plan and pay nothing for your first month, with full access to every feature. After that, it's £19.99 per user, per month. Cancel during the free period and you pay nothing at all.

Q. What counts as a user?
A.

Anyone who logs in to manage bookings, clients or settings. Owners, stylists, therapists, receptionists, accountants. Clients who book appointments online aren't users and don't count.

Q. Why per-user pricing?
A.

It scales with the size of your team without punishing growth. You only pay for the people who log in, and everyone gets the same platform and features, with no upgrade tier locking the bits you actually need.

Q. Do you really not take commission on bookings?
A.

Correct. The bookings themselves are commission-free. The only payment-related fee is the 1.5% + 20p when you choose to take card payments through Salono, which goes straight to Stripe (the card processor), not us.

Q. How do SMS reminders work?
A.

Each user gets 80 SMS reminders included every month. Beyond that, additional messages are charged at 4.1p each. No bundles to buy, no balance to top up. We invoice the overage with your next monthly bill.

Q. Is Stripe Connect mandatory?
A.

No. You can run Salono entirely with manual or in-salon payments and never touch online card payments. Online payments are an opt-in if you want deposits, no-show cover or pre-pay.

Q. Are there contracts or minimum terms?
A.

No. Rolling monthly subscription. Cancel any time from your account settings. Your data is yours and we keep it safe for thirty days in case you change your mind.

Q. Can I add or remove users mid-month?
A.

Yes, anytime, from your account settings. New users are pro-rated within the billing cycle so you only pay for the days they're on the platform.

Q. What about larger teams?
A.

Salono is built for independent professionals first, but larger teams are welcome. If you have five or more users, get in touch and we'll talk through bespoke pricing.
